MICROLON Motorbike KitsModern motorcycle engines are high compression; high performance engines that operate at high engine revolutions and generate a lot of heat. This increases the potential for damage and performance loss due to friction. Microlon has a formulation for these engines that boosts performance and helps them last longer. Every motorcycle engine can benefit greatly from a one-time Microlon treatment.

FTX Fork Treatment for Motorcycles & ScootersFTX is a specially formulated product for the use in motorcycle forks and shocks. FTX fills the natural imperfections of the metal with a permanent film that reduces stiction. FTX is a one-time treatment. Keeping your wheels in better contact with the road, giving you a more secure feeling at higher speeds, and angles while racing.
WHAT IS STICTION?
Short for “Static Friction”. The friction which tends to prevent stationary surfaces from being set in motion. Two solid objects pressing against each other (but not sliding) will require some threshold of force parallel to the surface of contact in order to overcome static cohesion. Stiction is a threshold, not a continuous force. So for your forks to compress, a certain amount of force has to be overcome before they start to move and that’s what we’re

talking about (the force needed to overcome the static friction until the fork tubes begin to slide). Material types, surface finish treatment, seal design, coatings and oil viscosity, all play a part in stiction issues. Reducing stiction in our forks allows the initial action to be more fluid in movement and pays off in the smaller choppy sections, breaking bumps, etc.
